Diet

Why Should I Care About My Diet

Diet is critical to living a happy, healthy, and content life.  It also plays a large role in how well your body ages, how your body works, how you feel, how often you get sick and how you look.  With all of these things depending on our diet, why do we eat so terribly?  Well, we tend to grab foods when we are in a hurry and processed foods are simple and convenient.  In order to make the change from processed to natural and from sugary to healthy, you need to be motivated by feeling and looking better.

Get Started

First off, you know your body and your variables better than anyone else. Identify a place to start.  From there, seek out information on what works best for your focus area.  That is where my blog comes in.  Use my blog as a learning portal.  Once you do the research, experiment and see what works.

Limited Scientific Conclusions

The science in dieting is tricky.  We are all uniquely different. Our diets are different and our genetics are different.  In addition, our behaviors, body types, willpower and so much else is different as well.  All of these differences make coming to scientific conclusions challenging.  On top of all that,  do you think people cheat in the midst of a study and don’t report it?  I do.

All of these variables contribute to making reaching statistically valid results challenging  That is why you see science “change its mind” about whether certain foods are good or bad for you, like eggs, soy or shellfish, for example.  With all of this inconsistency, how do you determine what works and what doesn’t?

Remember, you know your body better than anyone. Find a place to investigate and research how to best improve your diet. Seek solutions that inspire a lifetime commitment and produce solid results over the long-term. Fad diets and purges work for a couple of weeks but do not meet long-term goals. Best of luck.
